Partner & Director

Byron leads with over 24 years of hands-on experience in culvert replacements, stormwater management, excavation, and remote access logistics.
From emergency response for CN Rail during natural disasters to major highway and bridge works for the Ministry of Transportation, Byron excels in fast-paced, high-stakes environments where environmental mitigation and public safety are paramount.
Jesse Chandler
Project Foreman
With over 20 years in civil construction, Project Foreman Jesse Chandler specializes in the successful execution of drainage, culvert, and hydro utility projects.
He has led critical infrastructure efforts for the Evergreen Line and BC Hydro, integrating best practices for erosion control, sediment management, and utility coordination in environmentally sensitive areas.
Sean Fairhurst
Project Manager
Sean brings two decades of experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects across Canada, including those for CN, CBC, Rogers Communications, and the City of Kamloops.
His ability to manage teams, deliver projects in remote and urban environments, and maintain vegetation and environmental standards has made him a valuable asset on technically and geographically complex sites.

With over 40 years of experience and a Red Seal in carpentry, Scott is a master of his craft and a powerhouse on any jobsite. As MX3’s Civil Supervisor, he brings unmatched expertise in concrete work, large-scale infrastructure, and jobsite management.
His sharp eye for detail, commitment to quality, and ability to keep crews running at peak performance make him an invaluable leader in the field. Scott has played a key role in driving efficiency, safety, and excellence on major projects—delivering the kind of results that set industry standards.
Shawn Simpson
Rail Superintendant
Shawn has been immersed in the rail industry since 2001, starting with Alberta Rail Net and quickly advancing through the ranks of bridge, track, and switch work. A natural leader, he’s spent years mentoring foremen, shaping crews that work with precision and confidence.
His deep industry knowledge and hands-on expertise make him the go-to authority for MX3’s rail operations in Alberta. As the driving force behind our rail division, Shawn ensures every project is executed with safety, efficiency, and the high standards MX3 Rail & Civil Services is known for.
